Who remembers the famous Hotpoint Purple Liberator range made in the UK in 1975. Here is the model 1851 Liberator  De Luxe and matching dryer.This set has been restored by a friend of mine, Lee James and would you believe is 40yrs old this year!! Does Your Automatic Washer say "Liberator De Luxe" ? Although referred to as The Purple Range , the colour name is "Amethyst". The push buttons where graduated in shades of Amethyst to White.
