Philips TopTwin Washing Machine - Boiling

How many of you remember standing over your faithful twintub washing machine on a monday morning with steam rising  and the smell of Persil wafting through the house. Take a look at the Philips twinny using its 3kw heater to boil a few bath towels. As the pressure build up around the heater it forces the boiling water up the agitator tube like a percolator and sprays it over the boiling towels. Here we have a friends 1961 Electrolux Dishmaid Dishwasher, compact & bijue, its sits on your draining board, connected to your hot water tap and simply drains into the sink. Do You Remember Them? Do you remember when your Gran used a washing machine like this? The rythmical sound of the agitator back & forth, back & forth. The steam rising into the kitchen, the smells and aroma of washing powders such as Ariel, Persil, Tide and Surf. And the clothes being squeezed through the big rollers, squeezing all that hot soapy water out.
