  2. Hello Chester,

Today I washed my Electrolux Dishmaid Dishwasher as best I could, which made me check the Internet for more information.

It looks just like yours, but has not been used since the 1970s.

I remember when my mother got it in 1961, and how I used to watch the dishes go round and round and the hot water spurts on the window, whithout which there would have been no show like that.

I noticed the rubber around the window in your interesting YouTube video seems a bit dry. Did you by any chance try to save it with some silicone?

The rubber under the door of my dishwasher is in very poor condition. Today I emailed Electrolux Sweden about it, but do not think they have such rubber in stock. If you know how to find spares for these dishwashers please let me know.

Even if my dishwasher never works again, it is a pretty thing to have around.

    Have a nice day.

    Best regards,
    Michael

  3. It's very unusual I would love to have a Roto rack dishwasher the revolving rack reminds me of it.i shall consider buying it depending how much your asking.even though you can use washing up liquid in it I would only use that for lightly soiled cup as & plates for heavily soiled I will use a eco dish powder with some dish salt & a little recover rinse aid on last rinse.i shall rinse it through empty with cleaning soda & disinfectant for maintenance it's a cute little machine & I would do my best to keep it nice.it won't necessarily replace my main dishwasher but for when I want to wash smaller amounts it would be ideal it would look much nicer than a dish rack on sink as well.i expect it would be ideal for the delicate China & glass the rinse action looks effective but less agressive than typical styled dishwasher

  4. I shall always remember my mum's Electrolux canister vacuum a cream coloured vacuum from the late 70s that lasted well over 30 years before it gave up! For many years I used it to clean up after my pet hamster & budgie while my mum used it around the flats & houses we lived in over the years. Most other vacuums I've had lasted 10 years at the most....this one although very basic in style outlived the others obviously well made quality
