Who remembers the famous Hotpoint Purple Liberator range made in the UK in 1975. Here is the model 1851 Liberator  De Luxe and matching dryer.This set has been restored by a friend of mine, Lee James and would you believe is 40yrs old this year!! Does Your Automatic Washer say "Liberator De Luxe" ? Although referred to as The Purple Range , the colour name is "Amethyst". The push buttons where graduated in shades of Amethyst to White. With Leo the Lion from the brochure advertisement of the era. The official 1976 Hotpoint Liberator Laundry & Refrigeration range.
