Electra 11500 De-Luxe Washer by Creda (1982)

Many of our Great British washing machines where made for our "Electricity Boards" such as my local which was Manweb (Merseyside & North Wales Electricity Board), this particular model was made by Creda in Blythe Bridge, Staffordshire. I love the orange accents and easy to use controls,  It took a 10lb wash load, hot & cold fill,easy to select programmes. 3 compartment dispenser and the spin speed was 1000rpm. Three simple push button options gave you an economy wash which used your hot water cutting out the heater, a rinse hold which left clothes suspended in the last rinse water ready for you to spin and remove and a half load button for smaller washloads. Hotpoint 1509 Top Loader Washing Machine (1972)

Who remembers using the famous Hotpoint Top loading washing machine  with the 70`s purple controls? Easy to set wash time and temperature, watch the "Timeline" move as the wash progresses. The push button options give you load selection, rinse hold, short spin and economy wash using your own hot water and cuts out the heater.
