Hoover Keymatic A3112 Washer (1980)

Who  Remembers This Keymatic....?




Just finished the filming, now for the edit....its the Keymatic A3312 by Hoover from 1980, its the last model made with the famous Hoover "Keyplates", anyone remember their mums having one?

  1. I remember the Keymatic well, as 2 Aunts had them as I grew up, I have the keyplates for 3 machines, sadly not the machines

  2. Had a Hoover Keymatic myself in the 80's. second hand machine in imaculate condition, had a slanted front with a drop down door and small clock face type dial to tell you at what stage the programme was at.

    1. Great machines, usually if it survived into the 80`s it was well looked after, very complicated washing machine, but fun to use!!

Servis Wringers Washing Machines (1957)

Do you remember when your Gran used a washing machine like this? The rythmical sound of the agitator back & forth, back & forth. The steam rising into the kitchen, the smells and aroma of washing powders such as Ariel, Persil, Tide and Surf. And the clothes being squeezed through the big rollers, squeezing all that hot soapy water out. Hotpoint 1851 Liberator De Luxe Washing Machine 1975

Who remembers the famous Hotpoint Purple Liberator range made in the UK in 1975. Here is the model 1851 Liberator  De Luxe and matching dryer.This set has been restored by a friend of mine, Lee James and would you believe is 40yrs old this year!! Does Your Automatic Washer say "Liberator De Luxe" ? Although referred to as The Purple Range , the colour name is "Amethyst". The push buttons where graduated in shades of Amethyst to White. With Leo the Lion from the brochure advertisement of the era. The official 1976 Hotpoint Liberator Laundry & Refrigeration range.
