Do you remember when your Gran used a washing machine like this? The rythmical sound of the agitator back & forth, back & forth. The steam rising into the kitchen, the smells and aroma of washing powders such as Ariel, Persil, Tide and Surf. And the clothes being squeezed through the big rollers, squeezing all that hot soapy water out. Take a look and let us know your memories. https://www.flickr.com/photos/chestermikeuk/sets/72157601117659982
Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace and collection of vintage and classic household appliances.
I remember the Keymatic well, as 2 Aunts had them as I grew up, I have the keyplates for 3 machines, sadly not the machines
ReplyDeleteHad a Hoover Keymatic myself in the 80's. second hand machine in imaculate condition, had a slanted front with a drop down door and small clock face type dial to tell you at what stage the programme was at.
